The latest issue of Life and Style Magazine features seven hot trends that will be BIG this season. I love Brooke Shields' Gold Leather Jacket. It looks like motorcycle chic mixed with metalic glam. Here's the rundown:

7 Trends in 7 Days!

Mischa Barton in GINGHAM
Paris Hilton in NATURE PRINTS
Anne Hathaway in a SIDE-SLIT Dress
Helena Christensen with CRYSTAL ACCENTS
Cameron Diaz's cute CANVAS TOTE
Jamie-Lynn Sigler in a BACKLESS DRESS
Brooke Shields' GOLD JACKET

Katie Storms Out

The latest issue of Life and Style is reporting that Katie stormed out on Tom because of his controlling ways. He told her "she hadn’t been cheerful enough in public." At least one of them is coming out.

My Humps, Unplugged

Alanis Morrisette's angst ridden tribute to Fergie's My Humps is really moving. It is reminiscent of Tori Amos' version of Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit, except it is much funnier watching Alanis work her lovely lady lumps ala Fergie, Dutchess of Hoochiedom. Alanis, the goddess of grunge, is looking quite Fergilious. Isn't it ironic? Don't cha think?

Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

Sunsilk, formerly Thermasilk, has a great new campaign that focuses on blondes vs. brunettes. I love the decor in the blonde side of the ad. It is very Elle Woods. They have a VIP lounge on Colorshowdown.com pitting ditzy blondes against plain jane brunettes. They ask the age-old questions: What's the cutest thing about brunettes? There's nothing cute about brunettes. Why are brunette's so proud of their hair? It matches their mustache. How does a blonde have safe sex? She locks the car door. What do you call a blonde with 2 braincells? Pregnant. Whether you prefer blondes or brunettes, the ad is pretty hilarious.

This is what would happen if the Gorton's Fisherman made truly great music. I don't think this is what the boatneck-loving, navy and white stripes wearing fashion designers were thinking when they brought the nautical look back in. If this video is indicative of the trend, long, white beards are sure to replace the little black dress as the fashion must-have this spring.

Farewell Sanjaya. Your countless wigs inspired a barrage of imitators. Check out these baby toupees. Baby toupees are perfect for the infant who has more style than hair. You are never too young to be fashionable! These posh tots are just jealous that Sanjaya is hogging the spotlight. Now babies everywhere can unleash their inner Sanjaya and wig out just like the "Vote for the Worst" favorite.

Star Has the Last Laugh

Rosie announced she was quitting the View yesterday after less than a year. She attributed the split to contract negotiations between her and ABC brass (certainly not Baba Wawas!). She said she wanted a 1-year contract and ABC wanted a 3-year contract and they couldn't come to terms. This is about as unlikely as Rosie being the new keynote speaker at the Republican Convention.

Rosie has been highly controversial since joining the ladies of The View and bringing a half a million viewers with her. She calls for the impeachment of the President on a daily basis, she touts gay rights, pushes gun control and being pro-choice. She called Kelly Ripa a homophobe over the Gaykin controversy. She made fun of Donald Trump's combover. She and Elizabeatch rip the claws out everyday and then proclaim how they are such good friends.

Personally, I think it is refreshing to see such honesty on daytime tv. However, given the recent Imus saga, major networks equate being controversial with losing millions in ad revenue. The best catfight ever was during the Imus scandal where Elizabeach was arguing furiously to get Imus fired and Rosie was begging to keep Imus on the air. They were really arguing over whether Rosie should be fired from The View, because both of them knew that if Imus was fired for his insensitive and lame attempt at humor, Rosie's controversial remarks would get her fired too.

It's scary that the whole Imus debacle has ignited a domino effect of censorship in the media. Rosie's antics garnered the much needed ratings that The View needed. However, when it comes down to it, network television is very narrow in the variety of ideas it broadcasts. Rosie turned The View into Crossfire, and Baba wasn't having it. Who knew the ladies of The View would hate Ro so much that they would wax nostalgic for Star Jones?

This video is wild. It shows how Plain Janes morph into pretty girls and beauties morph into the most beautiful women in the world (and sometimes Bride of Wildenstein clones).
