Although the last crumbles of holiday cookies have been devoured and our Christmas tree and ornaments have been packed away with care, the spirit of the season is still with me. Now is the time when I can sit back, relax, rejoice, and finally start to play with the items Santa left me for making this year's nice list.
My husband, baby daddy Santa surprised me with a pretty lavender Clarisonic Mia that has now become my favorite nighttime ritual. It makes my face smoother and softer, I imagine, than the baby's bottom that is apparently twerking away in my womb. It is a luxurious gift that I would never have splurged on for myself, and I don't know how my face has survived this long without it.
My stockings were stashed with H&M gift cards to help me indulge in some maternity and post baby shopping, matching home tees and onesie for the entire family, and a lovely pair of tortoise Ray-Ban Original Wayfarers that I've been wanting forever and a day.
My big brother Santa, also treated me to my choice of Warby Parker specs and a gift card that came with a delightful kit for me to make my own snowman while dashing through the snow in the D.
If these gifts are any indication of my inherent niceness, I'd say I was a pretty good girl this year... in spite of the fact that my hormones left me pouting and crying since August. Thank you Santa, for still coming to Sammy town.
What did you get for Christmas?
