Happy Monday Let's Talk Styler's! Time for another red carpet recap, this time covering last night's 19th Annual Screen Actor's Guild Awards ceremony.
It was Jennifer Lawrence's night. Not only did she win Best Actress for her role in Silver Lining's Playbook, but she also wins my pick as best dressed, looking exceptionally stunning in a navy blue Christian Dior Haute Couture gown. It was rumored that she had the flu, which makes sense because she looked totally sic.
Amanda Seyfried - Also nailed it in navy, wearing a Zac Posen blue mermaid gown and showcasing the popular Veronica Lake side swept do seen on many a best dressed starlet. p.s. Love the pendant necklace.
Naomi Watts - Best Actress nominee for The Impossible looked fifty shades of chic in any icy grey Marchesa gown that I absolutely adored, and not just because it bore a striking resemblance to my wedding gown.*
Jessica Chastain - Some people loved it, some people hated it. I'm a lover of this Zero Dark Hottie look, a bold red Alexander McQueen gown that paid homage to another red headed screen siren named Jessica, Rabbit that is. She's not bad. She's just dressed that way.
The Big Bang's Kaley Cuoco was a big bust on the red carpet, winning worst look all around with a cotillion like red lace Ramona Kaveeza dress that was too short, weird bangs and hair volume that was too high, and nothing that was just right.
Coming in a close second was Sigourney Weaver in a shiny black bib topped gown that did nothing to flatter her figure. Ripley, believe it or not, I know you have a hot bod under there.
Rose Byrne. I always applaud her for taking risks, but this Valentino Resort 2013 gown would only work on Michelle Dockery in a tea party scene from Downton Abbey. Cheerio.
Julianne Moore. The Best Female Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries winner for Game Change is in need of a Stylist Change, in a couture Chanel gown that had a skirt that appeared to have been seed bombed by some rogue gardener and an ill fitting deep plunge top that gave her a bad case of droopy boob. I know this is the SAG awards Julianne, but next time give your girls some support.
